Mohn Kipferl - Austrian Poppy Seed Biscuits
Austrian Kipferl - Made at Kipferl - Austrian Poppy Seed Biscuits
The legend says that the half-moon shaped Kipferl were created by Austrian bakers in support of Austrian soldiers fighting the Turkish Empire outside the walls of Vienna in 1683.
We don't know if the story is true, but what is true that Kipferl are one of the most typical sweet delights from Austria.
The Austrian poppy seed biscuits or 'Mohn' Kipferl are the little sisters of our popular Vanillekipferl, made with organic poppyseed from Austria.
A little shortbread treat, perfect with tea and coffee, our Kipferl will bring real Austrian flavour to your house.
Combine with our Mohntorte poppyseed cake!

Dietary and Allergen Advice
Please note that all our products are made fresh in our little bakery in Islington, where we handle ingredients that are used to make all our products. While we do everything possible to minimise the risk of cross-contamination, we still have a very small operation and do not have fully separated production lines, so cross-contamination of ingredients cannot be completely excluded.
In our bakery we use products containing allergens like dairy, nuts, gluten (wheat), egg, sulphites and soya.
If your allergy is severe, please consider carefully whether you choose to consume our food. If you want to be 100% safe, the only option is not to consume any of our products.
