Authentic Austrian Cake Delivery to Edinburgh

Authentic Austrian Linzer Torte from Kipferl, delivered to Edinburgh

From Sachertorte to centuries-old Linzer Torte, Kipferl has been London's authentic Austrian patisserie since 2003. Edinburgh has long been one of our strongest cities outside the capital. Every cake is handmade in our Islington bakery using traditional Austrian recipes, then sent fresh by courier to homes, festivals and offices across Edinburgh.

Why Edinburgh customers choose Kipferl

Edinburgh's rare combination of festival-city cosmopolitanism, deep European intellectual culture, and a customer base that genuinely values craft and provenance has made Kipferl a natural choice. From the New Town to Stockbridge, Bruntsfield to Morningside, Edinburgh households order from us for celebrations, gifts and weekend treats throughout the year.

Every cake we make is rooted in the Austrian home-kitchen and Konditorei tradition. We don't source from industrial suppliers or sub-contract production. We bake everything ourselves — from the apricot jam folded into our Sachertorte to the buttercream in our Esterhazytorte. If you've spent time in Vienna, Salzburg or Innsbruck, you'll recognise the difference.

The Austrian-Edinburgh connection

Edinburgh and Vienna share a long musical and intellectual relationship. The Edinburgh International Festival, founded in 1947 to help re-knit a fractured post-war Europe through culture, has hosted the Vienna Philharmonic countless times since its earliest editions — and that partnership remains central to the Festival's identity today. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Usher Hall and the Queen's Hall continue to host visiting Austrian ensembles, choirs and chamber groups every August.

Edinburgh University's links to German-speaking academia run equally deep, and the Austrian and German communities in the city are among the strongest in Scotland. For everyone who has spent time in Vienna, Salzburg or Innsbruck — and for the visiting musicians and academics who pass through every year — Kipferl is the place to find the real thing.
