Juicy and spicy apple cake, from an old Jewish recipe dating back to 18th century Vienna. Dairy-free, as kosher cooking commanded at the time…’, the butter is replaced by sunflower seed oil. Despite renouncing one of the most frequently used ingredients in Austrian baking, this cake is scrumptious and intense, while still fruity and light.
