Cake Delivery Leeds | Authentic Austrian Cakes | Kipferl
Authentic Austrian Cake Delivery to Leeds
From traditional Sachertorte to centuries-old Linzer Torte, Kipferl has been London's authentic Austrian patisserie since 2003. Leeds — a city with a serious Austro-German musical tradition — has been one of our consistent cities outside London for over a decade. Every cake is handmade in our Islington bakery, then delivered fresh by courier across Leeds.
Why Leeds customers choose Kipferl
Leeds combines a large international university population, a serious classical music heritage, and a rapidly improving food scene that values craft and provenance. The combination has made the city a strong customer base for proper Austrian patisserie — for students, families, businesses and gifting across LS postcodes from Headingley to the Calls and beyond.
Every cake we make is rooted in the Austrian home-kitchen and Konditorei tradition. We don't source from industrial suppliers or sub-contract production. We bake everything ourselves — from the apricot jam folded into our Sachertorte to the buttercream layers in our gluten-free Esterhazytorte.

The Austrian-Leeds connection
Leeds has one of Britain's most committed traditions in Austro-German classical music. The Leeds Lieder Festival, founded in 2004, is dedicated to the German and Austrian art-song tradition — Schubert, Schumann, Wolf, Mahler, Strauss — and has hosted singers and pianists from Vienna and Salzburg every year since. The Leeds International Piano Competition, one of the most prestigious in the world, has long featured a heavy Austrian repertoire focus.
Leeds Town Hall and Opera North continue to host visiting Austrian orchestras and ensembles, and the University of Leeds maintains a strong German Studies programme with active exchanges. For a city that has chosen to champion Austrian cultural heritage so deliberately, Kipferl's cakes feel right at home.
