Welschriesling 10.5 – Potzinger, Austrian White Wine
Weingut Stefan Potzinger, Südsteiermark — Welschriesling Austrian wine UK 2025
Grown only in Austria and neighbouring countries and not related to Riesling at all, Welschriesling is grown very successfully in South Styria and has become something of a hidden gem in the wine trade.
Green apple and citrus on the nose and palate, with only 10.5% alcohol and refreshing acidity, Potzinger’s Welschriesling is a great wine as an aperitif, with salads and grilled fish.
Great price for this unique variety!
ABV: 10.5%
About Weingut Potzinger
The Potzinger family have made wine in Südsteiermark since 1860 — one of the longest family-run estates in this corner of southern Austria. Today the winery is led by Stefan Potzinger, who carries forward the family's commitment to wines that are unmistakably Styrian: mineral, elegant, fresh.
Sustainability sits at the centre of the estate's philosophy. The vineyards are managed with care for the long-term health of the land, and the wines are certified both sustainable and vegan. In the cellar, the goal is to capture the character of Südsteiermark as faithfully as possible — natural, age-worthy whites of the highest quality.
