Austrian Wine Box – Three Austrian Red Wines Selection
Three unique, classic Austrian red wines in an Austrian Wine Box — a wonderful gift for every wine lover! Now with our Premium Pinot Noir.
Zweigelt Neusiedlersee (Markus Iro):
Indigenous Austrian grape variety, after handpicking and 12 days on the skins then aged in large used oak, Iro's Zweigelt features typical dark cherry notes, forest berries, liquorice and spices, juicy and elegant and rounded off with fine tannins.
Blaufränkisch 7301, Kirnbauer:
The rare Blaufränkisch grape thrives in Mittelburgenland – black currant, red cherry and blackberry on the nose, thyme and clove on the palate. 16 months ageing in barrique softens the tannins and contributes to the harmonic finish. The number 7301 refers to the postcode of the Kirnbauer's. One of our wine buyer's favourite reds! Enjoy with venison or a good steak.
Pinot Noir Premium 2020 (Fischer)
New in our premium range, Christan Fischer's Pinot Noir Premium 2020 balances beautifully typical flavours of red cherry and forest berries with notes of cinnamon, coffee and chocolate from 30 months barrique ageing. Dense, complex and long, this is another masterpiece by organic winemaker Christian Fischer from red wine village Soosz in the Thermenregion south of Vienna.
Goes well with mushroom stews, roast pork and blue cheese.
