The family has cultivated grapes alongside agriculture here for several generations, with the estate grown to around 24 hectares across the communities of Apetlon and Podersdorf and top sites like Neubruch, Fuchsenloch, Musado-Hedwighof and Neusiedlerweg. The Pannonian climate — 2,000 hours of sunshine a year, just 500mm of rain, reed beds and salt lakes — creates conditions found nowhere else, and in climatically excellent years the estate produces the noble-sweet dessert wines for which the region is internationally famous.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"margin: 0 0 14px 0; font-size: 0.95em; line-height: 1.7; color: #4a4a4a;\"\u003eRobert Preiner is a winemaker by training and a business economist by background — Klosterneuburg viticulture school, then Vienna's University of Economics, then 16 years in banking audit before he stepped away in 2016 to dedicate himself fully to the family winery. His wife Andrea joined the business through her love of both wine and Robert: a Vienna-trained lawyer who now runs sales and increasingly the cellar work, with a sideline in \u003cem\u003eSeewinkler tapas\u003c\/em\u003e based on her grandmother's and mother's recipes, served to guests in the tasting room.
